I Found My Way Back
Hey! I actually remembered how to get back to WordPress and the blog so I could make another post.
My goal was to get Coffee Cup Conversation up and running before this weekend and I did it even though it was few days and a few posts late.
I am on my way to enter a conversation about simple church with my good friend Gerald Aalbers and his leadership team at Freedom Church in Manor, Texas. Be in prayer for us as we explore the practices of the incarnational, missional life.
Who knows who I might meet along the way to further the conversation. I hope to share a few stories and ideas with you about this trip when I get back.
I just realized that I accomplished my first goal of 2010! Doesn’t it feel good to get something done? How about you? What are some of your goals for this new year? Are any of them connected to your walk with Christ?
Terry
P.S. If you have any questions or want to chat feel free to make a comment.

Congratulations on completing your first goal of the new year 2010! One of my goals is to learn to pray with the church by returning to a practice of the sacred rhythms of prayer of church tradition. I recently finished reading Scot McKnight’s “Praying With the Church” and was inspired to pursue the use of a prayer book with my husband this year. At the moment, we are starting with Phyllis Tickle’s “The Night Offices” (it was the only thing I could find after a thorough search of two Half Price Books locations). At the dinner table, we are using J. Philip Newell’s “Celtic Treasure” so our children can learn to pray with us.
Sandi, thanks for joining the conversation. I appreciate you and Jonathan so much. I think is vital that all of us as Christ followers learn about life rhythms. I know that the readers here at Coffee Cup Conversation can learn a lot from you.
“Live everyday in the power of the Spirit on-mission with Christ”….you do that awfully well my friend….I look forward to lots of coffee cup conversations! Lindsay
Thanks Lindsay! I look forward to our real and our virtual cups of coffee.
Hi Terry! Sorry it took us so long to figure out how to get to your blog. It looks great and we look forward to many conversations here.
I can’t thank you enough, again, for visiting Augie and Alec in the hospital. It meant so much to them and to us. Alec is doing great: he had no seizures last night or today, and the surgery site is almost healed completely. We pray that his is completely healed of his epilepsy.
We love you and look forward to seeing you and Beth soon. Coty and the kids are settling into Abilene well, and I’m ready to be there for good myself.
Jaclyn
Jaclyn, glad you found your way too! I look forward to lots of conversations with you and Coty. Don’t hesitate to join the conversation.
It was a blessing to get to visit with Augie and Alec. Augie has been keeping me updated on Alec’s condition. I look forward to being able to go see him some day when I get back out west.
